South Florida junior Romaine Beckford, representing Jamaica, won the men's high jump title with a first-attempt clearance at 7-4.25 (2.24m) at the NCAA Division 1 Indoor Championships at the Albuquerque Convention Center in New Mexico. Beckford became the first indoor champion in any event for South Florida, elevating from 15th place at last year's Division 1 indoor final at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Alabama.
